OUTREACH SERVICES

We provide monthly to semimonthly outreach services to homebound, senior sites, and nursing facilities.  Large print books, audio books, and magazines are available.  We also work with the State Library for the Blind to arrange home delivery of large print books and audio books which are carefully selected for each patron.  Stimulating reminiscing programs and storytimes take place at senior sites on a monthly basis.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to help with outreach services.

Spread the word, “ECML Paperback Book Read and Return Literacy Outreach.”

A paperback stand with children, adults, and teen books has been placed at the following locations:  Whitakers Rural Health Group in Whitakers, NC, Freedom Hill Health Center in Princeville, NC, and Rocky Mount Family Medical Center in Rocky Mount, NC.  Read, enjoy and return books back to the stand or ECML Tarboro or the Pinetops Branch.

This project is funded by the Mary Ferebee Endowment Fund, a component of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Contact our Outreach Specialist, Rose Battle, for more information or to schedule a visit.
