For each memorial, the library will select a book or other library material for dedication from one of the subject areas you suggest. A card announcing your dedication will be sent to the person you honor or the family of the person you remembered.
A book plate announcing your gift is inserted in the front of every dedicated book. The books are displayed for a short time in a special place in the library and are also listed quarterly in the Friends of the Library newsletter.
In order to complete the Memorial Gift Form you will need:
- the name of the person you wish to remember as you would like it to appear
- the name and address of the person who will receive an announcement of your gift
- the subject area(s) from which the staff should select a book
- your monetary donation

If you have questions, please contact a member of the library staff by coming to the library or calling 252-823-1141 between the hours of 9AM and 9PM Monday through Thursday, 9AM to 6PM on Fridays, or 9AM to 5PM on Saturdays.
