Join the Friends of the Library

          Founded in 1953, the Friends of the Edgecombe County Memorial Library is committed to promoting and  stimulating interest in the library and the arts in Edgecombe County.

          Membership fees are tax deductible.  Students may join for $2.00, Individuals for $10.00, and Lifetime memberships are $100.00.

Friends members receive a fine free pass good for 6 waivers of overdue items, a reduced printing cost ($0.10 per page), and a quarterly library newsletter.

The FOL board meets every 3rd Monday at 5:30 pm in the library.

         

GOING…GOING…GONE

Last chance to purchase used CD’s and Vinyl records at unbelievable prices.  Proceeds will be used to create the James Fredericks Memorial Young Adult section at the Edgecombe County Memorial Library.

Book Sale

“Fall Into A Good Read Book Sale” now being held at the Edgecombe County Memorial Library.  Buy one get one free (of equal or lesser value).  Great selections on gently used and or purged books. 

Makes great Christmas, birthday or anytime gifts!!

 

 

The shelving used for this project was donated by the Friends of the Library in recognition of the retirement of former director Dan Swartout (12/08).

Watch the mail for your next newsletter and check the mailing label to confirm your renewal date.

 

Patrons are encouraged to donate gently used books, audio books, tapes, and CD's for the Library's used book sale.
